WELCOME to the Byron Intermediate School web page. My name is Abe Rodemeyer, K-5 Principal. We value a high level of communication and seek to provide you with a quality tool to ensure that happens. 

Our commitment to you is to grow our children as people and learners. As a parent/guardian you are your child's first and best teacher. Our desire is to partner with you to make your child's experience at school the best it can be! We welcome the opportunity to meet you throughout the year and encourage you to get involved and take part in all that our school and district have to offer.

Learn. Share. Innovate. Inspire. These words represent our strategic plan that students, parents, and staff all had input into creating. This plan is the backbone of what we believe within our school district and drives the mission, vision and goal setting that takes place each year. The goal each day at the Intermediate School will be to support students social/emotional health while providing a personalized academic experience that allows students to create, communicate, think critically and collaborate within a connected world. You'll find that we will provide more voice and choice with students in preparation for their middle school experience.

At our school, you'll see and hear the word "S.T.A.R.S." throughout the building. S.T.A.R.S represents the core character values we expect all staff and students to uphold each and every day. This acronym stands for:
